The 40L15CWPbF center tap schottky rectifier module is been designed to be optimized for ultra low forward voltage drop specifically for the OR-ing of parallel power supplies. It would be reliable for operation up to 125 °C junction temperature with help of the proprietary barrier technology. The typical applications are in parallel switching power supplies, converters, reverse battery protection, and redundant power subsystems.
It has eight features. The first one is that it would have 125°C TJ operation (VR < 5V).The second one is that it would have center tap module. The third one is that it would be optimized for OR-ing applications. The fourth one is that it would have ultra low forward voltage drop. The fifth one is that it would have high frequency operation. The sixth one is that it would have guard ring for enhanced ruggedness and long term reliability. The seventh one is that it would have high purity, high temperature epoxy encapsulation for enhanced mechanical strength and moisture resistance. The last one is that it would be lead-free ("PbF" suffix). That are all the features.
Aslo some major ratings and characteristics anout it.The first one is about its IF(AV) rectangular waveform which would be 40 A.The second one is about its VRRM which would be 15V.The third one is about its IFSM @ tp = 5 s sine which would be 700A.The fourth one is about its Vf @ 19 Apk, TJ=125°C(per leg, Typical) which would be 0.25 V.The last one is about its TJ which would be from -55 to 125 °C.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points. The first one is about its max. average forward current which would be 20 A per leg and would be 40 A per device. The second one is about its max. peak one cycle non-repetitive surge current which would be 700A with condition of 5s Sine or 3s Rect. pulse and would be 330A with condition of 10ms Sine or 6ms Rect. pulse. The third one is about its non-repetitive avalanche energy which would be 10 mJ with condition of TJ = 25 °C, IAS = 2 Amps, L = 5 mH.The last one is about its repetitive avalanche current which would be 2 A with condition of current decaying linearly to zero in 1 sec and frequency limited by TJ max. VA = 1.5 x VR typical.
