The EUP2983 is a constant current boost converter specially designed for driving white LEDs with wide input range. The unique converter topology provide a load voltage which can be greater or less than the input voltage. With the tightly regulated load current, the EUP2983 allows series connection with multiple strings of the white LEDs.
The brightness of the LEDs can be adjusted through a voltage level on the CTRL pin or by applying a PWM signal to CTRL pin. 1MHz current-mode, pulse-width modulated (PWM) operation allows for small input and output capacitors and a small inductor while minimizing ripple on the input supply/battery. Programmable soft-start eliminates inrush current during startup.
The EUP2983 is available in a space-saving, 8-pin 3mm x 3mm TDFN package.
The EUP3010 is a constant frequency, current mode, PWM step-down converter. The device integrates a main switch and a synchronous rectifier for high efficiency. The 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage range makes the EUP3010 ideal for powering portable equipment that runs from a single cell Lithium-Ion (Li+) battery or 3-cell NiMH/ NiCd batteries. The output voltage can be regulated as low as 0.6V. The EUP3010 supports up to 1A load current and can also run at 100% duty cycle for low dropout applications, extending battery life in portable systems.
Switching frequency is internally set at 1.5MHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors and capacitors. The internal synchronous switch increases efficiency while eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode. The EUP3010 is available in an adjustable version and fixed output voltage of 1.2V ,1.8V and 3.3V.
The EUP3020 contains two independent 1.5MHz constant frequency, current mode, PWM step-down converters. Each converter integrates a main switch and a synchronous rectifier for high efficiency without an external Schottky diode. The EUP3020 is ideal for powering portable equipment that runs from a single cell Lithium-Ion (Li+) battery. Each converter can supply 1A of load current from a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage. The output voltage can be regulated as low as 0.6V. The EUP3020 can also run at 100% duty cycle for low dropout applications.
EUP3020 is available in an adjustable version and fixed output voltage of 1.2V, 1.8V ,3.3V.
