The EUP2627 is a high performance current mode, PWM step-up converter with pin selectable operating frequency. With an internal 3.5A, 160m MOSFET, it can generate 12V at up to 500mA output current from a 5V supply. The selectable 620kHz and 1.25MHz allows smaller inductors and faster transient response. An external compensation pin gives the user greater flexibility in setting loop compensation allowing the use of low ESR Ceramic output capacitors. Soft-start is controlled with an external capacitor, which determines the input current ramp rate during start-up.
When shut down, it draws<10A of current and can operate down to 2.5V input supply. These features along with 1.25MHz switching frequency makes it an ideal device for portable equipment and TFT-LCD displays.
The EUP2627 is available in an 10-pin TDFN package. The device is specified for operation over the full -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
The EUP2644 represents an integrated DC/DC regulator for monitor and notebook applications with screen sizes up to 20"". The device integrates a boost converter for generating AVDD, a VON slice circuit, an integrated logic LDO and a high performance VCOM amplifier.
The boost converter features a 2.6A FET and has user programmable soft-start and compensation. With efficiencies up to 92%, the AVDD is user selectable from 7V to 20V. The logic LDO includes a 350mA FET for driving the low voltage needed by the external digital circuitry.The VON slice circuit can control gate voltages up to 30V. High and low levels are programmable, as well as discharge rate and timing.
The integrated VCOM features high speed and drive capability. With 30MHz bandwidth and 50V/s slew rate, the VCOM amplifier is capable of driving 400mA peaks, and 100mA continuous output current.
The EUP2796 is a charge-pump based white-LED driver that is ideal for mobile phone display backlighting. It can drive up to 6 LEDs in parallel with up to 20mA through each LED. Regulated internal current sources deliver excellent current and brightness matching in all LEDs. The LED-driver current sources are split into two independently controlled groups.
The primary group (4 LEDs) can be used to backlight the main phone display. The second group (2 LEDs) can be used to backlight a secondary display or to provide other lighting features (keypad LEDs, for example). Brightness of the two groups can be adjusted independently with pulse-width modulated (PWM ) digital signals.
The EUP2796 works off an extended Li-Ion input voltage range (2.7V to 5.5V). Voltage boost is achieved with a high-efficiency 3/2- gain charge pump.The EUP2796 is available in a 16-pin TQFN package.
