THAT2155 General Description

The THAT 2150 Series integrated-circuit voltagecontrolledamplifiers (VCAs) are high-performancecurrent-in/current-out devices with twoopposingpolarity,voltage-sensitive control ports. Based ondbx technology, they offer wide-range exponentialcontrol of gain and attenuation with low signal distortion.The parts are housed in a space-efficient,plastic 8-pin single-in-line (SIP) package, and requireminimal support circuitry. Fabricated in asuper low-noise process utilizing high hFE, complementaryNPN/PNP pairs, the 2150 Series VCAscombine high gain-bandwidth product with lownoise, low distortion, and low offset to offer discreteperformance at IC prices. They are available inthree grades, selected for distortion, allowing theuser to optimize cost vs. performance.
