The BA7048N is an auto tracking microcomputor interface device for VCRs.Using the audio or video FM signal,the IC generates a peak detection output for the FM signal.The IC consists of a peak detection circuit,FM input amplifier and an output amplifier.The typical applications include video cassette recorders (VHS format).
There are some features as follows.First is available in SIP10 package.Secondly,various filters ca n be constructed using the inverted input pin and the built-in switch.Then is low voltage,typically 5V.The last one is low power consumption.
What comes next is about the absolute maximum ratings (Ta=25).The VCC (applied voltage) is 8.0 V.The Pd (power dissipation) is 850 mW.The Topr (operating temperature) is from -25 to 70.The Tstg (storage temperature) is from -55 to 125.Then is about the recommended operating conditions (Ta=25).The minimum VCC (recommended operating voltage) is 4.5 V,the typical is 5.0 V and the maximum is 5.5 V.
The following is about the eletrical characteristics (Ta=25,VCC=5.0 V).The minimum ICC (supply current) is 3.5 mA,the typical is 5.5 mA and the maximum is 7.5 mA.The minimum G6 (6 dB amplifier voltage gain) is 3.5 dB,the typical is 6.0 dB and the maximum is 8.0 dB at f=1.0 MHz,VIN=0.5 Vpk-pk.The minimum f6 (6 dB amplifier frequency characteristic) is -0.5 dB,the typical is +1.0 dB and the maximum is +2.5 dB at f=7.0 MHz/1.0 MHz,VIN=0.5 Vpk-pk.The typical V7 (detection characteristic 1) is 0.25 V and the maximum is 0.30 V at VIN=0.0 Vpk-pk.The minimum V7-1 (detection characteristic 2) is 0.90 V,the typical is 1.20 V and the maximum is 1.40 V at f=7.0 MHz,VIN=1.0 Vpk-pk.The minimum Vth (switching voltage) is 1.00 V,the typical is 2.00 V and the maximum is 3.00 V.
