XE9601

Xecom's XE9601 provides high-speed data transfer in a compact component. The XE9601 is a complete modem not just a modem chip. It includes the telephone interface and all required RAM and ROM. The internal telephone interface permits Xecom to offer a user transferable FCC part 68 registration on the Xe9601. the XE9601 connects to the host through a TTL lever serial interface and to the telephone network through a user-supplied RJ11 jack.

The XE9601 has its own characteristics. Here lists some of its important features. The first one is: small size 2.75"*1.38"*0.55". The second one is: the supported protocols are CCITT V.32, V.22bis, V.22, V.21, Bell 212A and 103. The third one is: pin compatible with Xecom's XE2401. The fourth one is: user transferable FCC part 68 registration. The fifth one is: modern control with "AT" commands. The sixth one is: modem link speed to 9600 bps. The seventh one is: single +5V supply.. And the last one is its low power, it is 1.0W when operating , while 50mW when in sleep mode, and its idle power is 125mW.

The XE9601 has some telephone line interface specifications. The type value of telephone line impedance match is 600ohms, the minimum of ring detect sensitivity is 38 Vrms, and the minimum of the telephone line holding current is 20mA, while the maximum is 100mA and the minimum is 0mA.

Next are the characteristics of power supply of the XE9601. Its has three parameters. The maximum of the  supply voltage is 5.25 V, and the type value is 5.0V. The Vcc supply current's type value is 200mA, and its maximum is 250mA when on line. And the type value of sleep current is 10.0mA.
