The X20C16JI-55 is designed as a 2K x 8 NOVRAM featuring a highspeed static RAM overlaid bit-for-bit with a nonvolatile electrically erasable PROM (E2PROM) and the AUTOSTORE feature which automatically saves the RAM contents to E2PROM at power-down. It is fabricated with advanced CMOS floating gate technology to achieve high speed with low power and wide power-supply margin.
X20C16JI-55 has seven features. (1) Fast access time would be 35ns, 45ns, 55ns. (2) High reliability which means endurance: 1,000,000 nonvolatile store operations and retention: 100 years minimum. (3) AUTOSTORE NOVRAM which means automatically stores RAM data into the E2PROM array when Vcc low threshold is detected, user enabled option and open drain AUTOSTORE status output pin. (4) Power-on recall which means E2PROM data automatically recalled into RAM upon power-up. (5) Software data protection which means locks out inadvertent store operations. (6) Low power CMOS which means standby: 250mA. (7) Infinite E2PROM array recall, and RAM read and write cycles. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of X20C16JI-55 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its temperature under bias would be from -65°C to +135°C. (2) Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. (3) Its voltage on any pin with respect to Vss would be from -1V to +7V. (4) Its voltage on any pin with respect to Vss would be from -1V to +7V. (5) Its DC output current would be 10mA. (6) Its lead temperature (soldering, 10 seconds) would be 300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed under ''absolute maximum ratings'' may cause permanent damage to the device.
