TDA8596

The TDA8596 is designed as one kind of complementary quad Bridge Tied Load (BTL) audio power amplifier device that contains four independent amplifier channels in BTL configuration with complementary (PMOST/NMOST) output stages.

Features of the TDA8596 are:(1)Drives 4 or 2 loads; (2)Balanced/symmetrical inputs; (3)Speaker fault detection; (4)Programmable gain (26 dB and 16 dB) also available in legacy mode; (5)Independent short circuit protection per channel; (6)Loss of ground and loss of VP safe (with 300 m series impedance and a maximum supply decoupling capacitor of 2200 uF); (7)All outputs are short-circuit proof to ground, supply voltage and across the load; (8)All pins are short circuit proof to ground; (9)Temperature-controlled gain reduction to prevent audio holes at high junction temperatures; (10)Low battery voltage detection; (11)Qualified in accordance with AEC-Q100.etc.

The absolute maximum ratings of the TDA8596 can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage: 18 to 50 V;(2)reverse supply voltage: -2 V;(3)non-repetitive peak output current: 13 A;(4)repetitive peak output current: 8 A;(5)junction temperature: 150 °C;(6)storage temperature: -55 to +150 °C.
