TDA8551T

The TDA8551T is a one channel 1W bridhe-tied load(BLT) audio power amplifier capable of delivering 1W output power to an 8 load at THD=10% using a 5V power supply.The circuit contains a BTL power amplifier, a digital volume control and standby/mute logic. The TDA8551T comes in an 8 pin SO package and the TDA8551 in a 8 pin DIP package.the TDA8551T could be used in (1)portable consumer products; (2)personal computer; (3)telephony.

The features of the TDA8551T is (1)one pin digital volume control; (2)volume setting with UP/DOWN pulses; (3)flexibility in use; (4)few external components; (5)Low saturation voltage of output stage; (6)Standby mode controlled by CMOS compatible levels; (7)Low standby current; (8)No switch-on/switch-off plops; (9)High supply voltage ripple rejection; (10)Protected against electrostatic discharge; (11)Outputs short circuit safe to ground, VP and across the load; (12)Thermally protected.
