TDA8305A

The TDA8305A is designed as small signal combination IC for colour TV.

TDA8305A has many features. The first one is vision IF amplifier with synchronous demodulator. The second one is automatic gain control (AGC) detector suitable for negative modulation. The third one is AGC tuner. The fourth one is automatic frequency control (AFC) circuit with sample and hold. The fifth one is video preamplifier. The sixth one is sound IF amplifier and demodulator. The seventh one is DC volue control or separate supply for starting the horizontal oscillator. The eighth one is audio preamplifier. The ninth one is horizontal synchronization circuit with two control loops. The tenth one is vertical synchronization (divider system) and sawtooth generation with automatic amplitude adjustment for 50 and 60 Hz. The eleventh one is transmitter identification (mute). The twelfth one is generation of sandcastle pulse. That are all the main features.

Some important TDA8305A specifications have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its supply voltage which would be min 9.5V and typ 12V and max 13.2V. The second one is about its supply current which would be min 75ma and typ 125mA and max 165mA. The third one is about its start current which would be typ 6.5mA and max 9.0mA. The fourth one is about its IF sensitivity at 38.9 MHz (RMS value) which would be min 25uV and typ 40uV and max 65uV. The fifth one is about its IF gain control range which would be typ 74dB. The sixth one is about its signal to noise ratio at 10mV input signal which would be min 50dB and typ 57dB.
