S-29255A

The S-29255A is designed as E2PROMs characterized by a wide operating voltage range and low power consumption. The organization is 128-word x16-bit respectively. It is easily interfaced with a serial port because the instruction is composed of eight-bit units. Also through the RESET pin, erroneous writing at power on/off can be avoided.

S-29255A has nine features. (1)2K-bit, instruction code conforming to M6M80021. (2)Low power consumption which would be 2.0mA max for operating and 1.0uA max for standby. (3)Wide operating voltage range which would be from 2.7V to 6.5V for write and 1.8V to 6.5V for read. (4)Easy interface with serial port. (5)Memory protection by RESET pin. (6)Rewritings 10^5 times/word. (7)Data retention 10 years. (8)Operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. (9)Package 8-pin DIP, bare chip. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of S-29255A have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its power supply voltage would be from -0.3V to 7V. (2)Its input voltage would be from -0.3V to Vcc+0.3V. (3)Its output voltage would be from -0.3V to Vcc. (4)Its storage temperature range under bias would be from -50°C to 95°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of S-29255A at Vcc=5.0V+/-10% are concluded as follow. (1)Its current consumption READ would be max 2.0mA. (2)Its current consumption program would be max 5.0mA. (3)Its standby current consumption would be max 1.0uA. (4)Its input leakage current would be typ 0.1uA and max 1.0uA. (5)Its output leakage current would be typ 0.1uA and max 1.0uA. (6)Its low level output voltage would be max 0.1V for CMOS and max 0.45V for TTL. (7)Its high level output voltage would be min Vcc-0.7V for CMOS and min 2.4V for TTL. And so on.
