The WE9104 is a monolithic CMOS integrated circuit which converts keyboard inputs into pulse signal outputs simulating a ratary telephone dial. It is designed to operate directly from the telephone line and can be interfaced properly to meet telephone specifications in system utilizing loop disconnect signaling.It has many unique features: The first one is 2.0 V to 5.5 V supply voltage.The second one is low power standby mode for redial.The third one is inexpensive RC oscillator used as frequency reference.The forth one is inter digital pause(9104:800 ms).The fifth one is pin selectable break/make.The sixth one is 22 digit capacity for redial.
There are some absolute maximum ratings about it.DC supply voltage is 5.5 V. Operating temperature is -20 to +60.Storage temperature is -55 to +120.Electrical characteristics(VDD is 5 V, VSS is 0 V, Ta is 25, unless otherwise specified).Logic ):B:M is -0.3 V min, 0 V typ and 1.5 V max. All other inputs is -0.3 V min, 0 V typ and 1.5 V max.Logic 1:B:M is VDD-1.5 V min, VDD typ and VDD+0.3 V max.Keypad inputs is 40 uA min, 60 uA typ and 150 uA max(Vin is equal to Vss).Sink current:b:M is 0 uA min, 0.1 uA typ and 1.0 uA max when Vin is equal to Vss or VDD.
