The N82050 is a kind of asynchronous communications controller which is low cost,higher performance alternative to the INS 16450.It provides a low cost ,high-performance integrated modem solution when combined with Intel's 89024 modem chip set.Its 28-laed package provides all the functionality necessary for an IBM PC environment while substantially decreasing board space requirements.
There are some information about its features.(1) programmable,16-bit baud rate generator; (2) system clock; (3) 28-lead DIP and PLCC package; (4) no-TTL interface to most Intel processors; (5) complete interrupt and status reporting; (6) line break and detection; (7) internal diagnostics with local loopback.
What comes next is about characteristics at TA is from 0 to 70 and VCC is 5 V±10%.(1): the minimum input low voltage(VIL) is -0.5 V,the maximum is 0.8 V; (2): the minimum input high voltage(VIH) is 2.0 V and the maximum is VCC+0.5; (3): the maximum output low voltage(VOL) is 0.45 V; (4): the minimum output high voltage(VOH) is 2.4 V; (5): the maximum power supply current(ICC) is 3.8 mA/MHz; (6): input capacitance(CIN) is 10 pF; (7): I/O capacitance is 10 pF; (8): the maximum input leakage voltage is ±10A; (9): the maximum 3-state leakage voltage is ±10A.
