The HMC121G8 is an absorptive voltage variable attenuator provided in a surfacemount hermetic package. It features an onchip reference attenuator for use with an external op-amp to provide simple single voltage attenuation control. The device is ideal in designs where an analog control signal must control RF signal levels over a 30 dB amplitude range, such as in AGC circuits and in temperature compensation of multiple gain stages. Applications include military ECM and communications as well as commercial microwave radios and VSAT.
RF Input | +16 dBm | |
Control Voltage Range | +1.0 to -6.0 Vdc
Storage Temperature | -65 to +150 deg C
Operating Temperature | -55 to +125 deg C |
The HMC128 is a miniature double-balanced mixer chip that can be used as an upconverter or downconverter. The device is a passive diode/ balun type mixer with high dynamic range. Noise fi gure is essentially equal to the conversion loss. The mixer can handle larger signal levels than active mixers due to the high third order intercept. MMIC implementation provides exceptional balance in the circuit resulting in high LO/RF and LO/IF isolations. This mixer can operate over a wide LO Drive input of +9 to +15 dBm.
LO Drive | +27 dBm |
Storage Temperature | -65 to +150 |
Operating Temperature | -55 to +85 |
The HMC129 chip is a miniature double-balanced mixer which can be used as an upconverter or downconverter in the 4 to 8 GHz band. The chip can be integrated directly into hybrid MICs without DC bias or external baluns to provide an extremely compact mixer. It is ideally suited for applications where small size, no DC bias, and consistent IC performance are required. This mixer can operate over a wide LO drive input of +9 to +15 dBm. It performs equally well as a Bi-Phase modulator or demodulator. See the HMC136 data sheet.
