H7806BE General Description
The H7806BE is a series of three-terminal positive regulators which are available in the TO-220AB package. The reg ulator is able to offer local on-card regulation, eliminating the distribution problems associated with single point regulation.Each employs internal current limiting, thermal shut-down and safe operating area protection,making it essentially indestructible. If adequate heat sinking is provided, It is able to deliver over 1A output current. Although designed primarily as fixed voltage regulators, the device can be used with external components to gain adjustable voltages and currents.H7806BE is characterized for operation from 0°C to +125°C, and if operating temperature is always high, please refer to the power dissipation curve.
The absolute maximum ratings and characteristics of the H7806BE can be summarized as:(1):input voltage is 35 V;(2):total power dissipation is internally limited;(3):operating temperature range is 0 °C to +125 °C;(4):maximum junction temperature is 125 °C;(5):storage temperature range is -55 °C to +150 °C;(6):lead temperature (sold ering 10S)is 230 °C.electical characteristics:(1)output voltage is 5.82 V min,6V typ and 6.18V max when Tj is 25°C;(2):quiescent current is 5.5mA typ and 8mA max when Tj is 25°C amd IO is 1A and less than 1A;(3):ripple rejection is 68 dB typ when f is 120Hz, and Vin is between 9V and 19V;(4):dropout voltage is 2.5V typ when Tj is 25°C and IO is 1A;(5)short circuit current is 1.5A typ when Tj is 25°C;(6):peak output current is 1.7A min when Tj is 25°C;(7):average Tc of Vout is 0.8mV/°C typ(0°CTj+125°C, Io=5mA).
