AU9254A21 General Description

The AU9254A21 is an combined single chip USB hub controller designed to emerge industry-standard Universal Serial Bus (USB),which supports four USB downstream ports. Every downstream port has power switch control, and over-current sensing. Single chip combination makes the AU9254A21 the most cost effective stand-alone USB hub solution available in the market. Downstream ports is able to be utilized to connect wide ranges of USB peripheral devices, such as USB printers, modems, scanners, cameras, mice, or joysticks to the system without adding external glue logic.

Features of the AU9254A21 are:(1)fully compliant with the universal serial bus specification;(2)USB hub design is co mpliant with universal serial bus Hub specification;(3)single chip integrated USB hub controller with embedded prop rietary processor;(4)supports four bus-powered/self-powered downstream ports;(5)built-in 3.3v voltage regulator allows single +5V operating voltage, resulting in reduced overall system cost;(6)runs at 12Mhz frequency;(7)28-pin SSOP package, both normal size (body size 209 mil) and smaller size (body size 150 mil) are available.

The absolute maximum ratings and general DC characteristics of the AU9254A21 can be summarized as:(1):power supply is-0.3V to 6.0 V;(2):input voltage is-0.3V to VCC+0.3 V;(3):output voltage is-0.3V to VCC+0.3 V;(4):storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 125°C.General DC characteristics:(1):input low current is-1uA min and 1uA max when there is no pull-up or pull-down;(2):input high current is-1uA min and 1uA max when there is no pull-up or pull-down;(3):tri-state leakage current is-10uA min and 10 A max;(4):input capacitance is 4 F;(5):output capacitance is 4 F;(6):bi-directional buffer capacitance is 4 F.
