The 40CTQ150PbF center tap schottky rectifier is designed to be optimized for very low forward voltage drop, with moderate leakage. It would be reliable for operation up to 175° C junction temperature with help of the proprietary barrier technology. Its typical applications are in switching power supplies, converters,free-wheeling diodes, and reverse battery protection. It has seven features. The first one is that it would have 175° C TJ operation. The second one is that it would have center tap TO-220 package. The third one is that it would have very high purity, high temperature epoxy encapsulation for enhanced mechanical strength and moisture resistance. The fourth one is that it would have very low forward voltage drop. The fifth one is that it would have high frequency operation. The sixth one is that it would have guard ring for enhanced ruggedness and long term reliability. The last one is that it would be lead-free ("PbF" suffix). That are all the features. Some major ratings and characteristics about it.Its IF(AV),which with characteristics of rectangular waveform, would be 40 A.Then its VRRM would be 150 V.The third one is about its IFSM,which with conditions of tp = 5 s sine, would be 150 A.The fourth one is about its Vf with condition of 20Apk, Tj = 125 °C (per leg) would be 0.71 V.The last one is about its Tj range which would be from - 55 to 175 °C. There are some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its maximum average forward current which would be 20A per leg and would be 40A per device. The second one is baout its maximum peak one cycle non-repetitive surge current per leg which would be 1500A with test condition of 5 s sine or 3 s rect. pulse and would be 250A with test condition of 10 ms sine or 6 ms rect. pulse. The third one is about its non-repetitive avalanche energy per leg which would be 1.0 mJ with condition of TJ = 25 °C, IAS = 1.5 Amps, L = 0.9mH.The last one is about its repetitive avalanche current per leg which would be 1.5A with condition of current decaying linearly to zero in 1 sec and frequency limited by TJ max. VA = 1.5 x VR typical.
