The 1PCS01 is short for ICE1PCS01 which is designed as standalone power factor correction (PFC) controller in continuous conduction mode (CCM) for converters in boost topology, and it requires few external components. Its power supply is recommended to be provided by an external auxiliary supply which will switch on and off the IC.
It has many features and some are listed here. The first one is it would be ease of use with few external components. The second one is it supports wide range. The third one is average current control. The fourth one is external current and voltage loop compensation for greater user flexibility. The fifth one is programmable operating / switching frequency (50kHz to 250kHz). The sixth one is its max duty cycle of 95% (typ) would be at 125kHz. The seventh one is trimmed internal reference voltage (5V+2%). The eighth one is Vcc under-voltage lockout. The ninth one is cycle by cycle peak current limiting. The tenth one is over voltage protection. And so on.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. Its Vcc supply voltage would be min -0.3V and max 22V. Its FREQ voltage would be min -0.3V and max 7V. Its ICOMP voltage would be min -0.3V to 7V. Its ISENSE voltage would be min -24V and max 7V. Its ISENSE current would be min -1mA and max 1mA. Its VSENSE voltage would be min -0.3V and max 7V. Its VSENSE current would be min -1mA and max 1mA. Its VCOMP voltage would be min -0.3V and max 7V. Its GATE voltage would be min -0.3V and max 22V. Its junction temperature would be min -40°C and max 150°C. Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to +150°C. It should be noted that the absolute maximum ratings are defined as ratings, which when being exceeded may lead to destruction of the integrated circuit. And so on.
