The iP2001PbF is a fully optimized solution for high current synchronous buck multiphase applications. Board space and design time are greatly reduced because most of the components requried for each phase of a typical discrete -based multiphase circuit are intergrated into a single 11 mm *11mm *2.6mm BGA power block. The only additional components required for a complete multiphase converter are a PWMIC, the externaliductors, and the input and output capacitors. iPOWIR technology offers designers an innovative board space saving solution for applications requiring high power densities. iPOWIR technology eases design for applications where component intergration offers benefits in performance and functionality. iPOWIR technology solution are also optimized internally for layout , heat transfer and component selection.
The iP2002PbF has seven unique features which si as follows : The first one is 30A continuous output current with no derating up to TPCB is 90 and Tcase is 90 . The second one is very small 11mm *11mm * 2.6mm profile. The third one is internal features minimize layout sensitivity . The forth one is optimized for very low power losses. The fifth one is operating frequency is up to 1MHz. The sixth one is dual sided heatsink capable. The seventh one is iP2001PbF footprint compatible.
Then, there are some absolute maximum ratings about iP2002PbF. ( all specifications are under the condition that temeprature is 25 unless otherwise specified). VIN to PGND is 16 V max. VDD to SGND is 6.0 V. PWM to SGND is -0.3 V min and VDD+ 0.3 V max.(Not to exceed 6.0 V). Enable to SGND is -0.3 V min and VDD + 0.3 V max.(Not to exceed 6.0 V). Output RMS current is 30 A max. Electrical specifications which is under the condtion VDD is 5V unless otherwise specified about it : VIN quiescent current is 1.0 mA max when enable is 0 V and VIN is 12 V. VDD quiescent current is 10 A when the enable is 0 V and VDD is 5 V. Under-voltage lockout . start threshold is 4.2 V min , 4.4 V typ and 4.5 V max. Under voltage lockout. hysteresis is 0.5 V. Enable. Input voltage high is 2.0 V min . Enable . Input voltage low is 0.8 V max. PWM ready. Logic level high is 2.0 V min . PWM ready. Logic level low is 0.8 V max.
At last , there are some recommended operating conditions of iP2002PbF. Supply voltage(VDD) is 4.6 V min , 5.0 V typ and 5.5 V max. Input voltage range(VN) is 3.0 V min annd 12.6 V max. Output voltage range (VOUT) is 20 A max.
