XR-215

The XR-215 is a highly versatile monolithic phase-locked loop (PLL) system.It consists of a balanced phased comparator, a highly stable voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and a high speed operational amplifier.The typical applications include FM demodulation, frequency synthesis, FSK coding/decoding (MODEM), tracking filters, signal conditioning, tone decoding, data synchronization, telemetry coding/decoding, FM, FSK and sweep generation, crystal-controlled clock recovery, wideband frequency discrimination and voltage-to-frequency conversion.

There are some features of XR-215 as follows.First is wide frequency range which is from 0.5 Hz to 35 MHz.The second is wide supply voltage which is from 5 to 26 V.Then is digital programming capability.Next is DTL, TTL and ECL logic compatibility on inputs.The fifth is wide dynamic range which is from 300V to 3 V (norminal).The sixth is ON-OFF keying and sweep capability.The seventh is wide tracking range which is adjustable from ±1% to 50%.The last one is high quality FM detection: distortion 0.15% and signal/noise 65 dB.
 
What comes next is about the absolute maximum ratings.The power supply is 26 V.The power dissipation is 750 mW and the derate factor is 5 mW/ above 25 for ceramic package.The power dissipation is 500 mW and the derate factor is 4 mW/ above 25 for SO-16 package.The storage temperature is from -65 to +150.The operating temperature is from 0 to +70.
