The XL24C16 is a low-coast 16,384-bit serial E2PROM.It is fabricated using EXEL's advanced CMOS E2PROM technology and operates from a single 3 volt or 5 volt supply. The XL24C16 is internally organized as eight 2K * 8 memory banks. The XL24C16 features a serial interface and software protocol allowing operation on a simple two-wire bus (I2C).Only one XL24C16 may be connected to the 2-wire bus,due to I2C protocol.
The XL24C16 has some absolute maximum ratings. When parameter is temperature under bias, the rating is -40 to +85.When parameter is storage temperature, the rating is -65 to +150.When parameter is lead soldering temperature (less than 10 seconds),the rating is 300.When parameter is supply voltage, the rating is 0 to 6.5V.When parameter is voltage on any pin,the rating is -0.5V to Vcc+0.5V.When parameter is EDS rating, the rating is 2000V.When parameter is output current, the rating is 5mA.
Stresses above those listed under "absolute maximum ratings" may cause permanent damage to the XL24C16.This is a stress rating only and the functional operation of the module at these or any other conditions above those indicated in the operational sections of this specification is not implied.Exposure to absolute maximum rating conditions for extended periods may affect module reliability.Although this product includes specific circuitry to protect it from electrostatic discharge.Conventional precautions should be taken to protect it from any voltages higher than rated maxima.
