The XCS20XL-4TQ144I is designed as one member of the sparten-XL families which are field programmable gate arrays. This families are a high-volume production FPGA solution that deliders all the key requirements for ASIC replacement up to 40000 gates. These requirements of XCS20XL-4TQ144I include high performance, on-chip RAM, core solutions and prices that, in high volume, approach and in many cases are equivalent to mask programmed ASIC devices.
XCS20XL-4TQ144I has nine features. (1) First ASIC replacement FPGA for high-volume production with on-chip RAM. (2) Density up to 1862 logic cells or 40,000 system gates. (3) Streamlined feature set based on XC4000 architecture. (4) System performance beyond 80 MHz. (5) Broad set of allianceCORE and LogiCORE predefined solutians available. (6) Unlimited reprogrammability. (7) It has low cost. (8) System level features include available in both 5V and 3.3V versions, on-chip selectRAM memory, fully PCI compliant, full readback capability for program verification and internal node observability, deficated high-speed carry logic, internal 3-state bus capability and so on. Some absolute maximum ratings of XCS20XL-4TQ144I have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its supply voltage relative to GND would be from -0.5V to 4.0V. (2) Its input voltage relative to GND would be from -0.5V to 5.5V for 5V tolerant I/O checked and would be from -0.5V to Vcc+0.5V for not 5V tolerant I/Os. (3) Its voltage applied to 3-state output would be from -0.5V to 5.5V for 5V tolerant I/O checked and would be from -0.5V to Vcc+0.5V for not 5V tolerant I/Os. (4) Its storage temperature (ambient) would be from -65°C to +150°C. (5) Its junction temperature would be +125°C.
