The XC6206 series are designed as highly precise, low power consumption, high voltage, positive voltage regulators manufactured using CMOS and laser trimming technologies. The series provides large currents with a significantly small dropout voltage. Typical applications include battery powered equipment, reference voltage sources, cameras, video cameras, portable AV systems, mobile phones and portable games.
XC6206 has six features. (1)CMOS low power consumption. (2)Dropout voltage: 160mV at 100mA and 400mV at 200mA. (3)Output current more than 250mA (5.0V type). (4)Highly accurate: +2%. (5)Output voltage range: 1.2V to 5.0V. (6)Low ESR capacitor compatible. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of XC6206 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its input voltage would be 7.0V. (2)Its output current would be 500mA. (3)Its output voltage would be from Vss-0.3V to Vin+0.3V. (4)Its power dissipation would be 250mW for SOT-23 package and would be 500mW for SOT-89 package and would be 100mW for USP-6B package and would be 300mW for TO-92 package. (5)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. XC6206 should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of XC6206 are concluded as follow. (1)Its output voltage would be min 0.98V and max 1.02V. (2)Its maximum output current would be max E-2mA. (3)Its load regulation would be max E-3mV. (4)Its dropout voltage would be typ E-4mV for Vdif1 and would be typ E-5mV for Vdif2. (5)Its supply current would be typ 1.0uA and max 3.0uA.
