The WM2130B is a 256 point programmable transversal filter circuit constructed using charge coupled device techniques. A sampled input signal is stored in a tapped CCD delay line and each sample multiplied by a corresponding reference value held in an analogue reference store.The multiplicands are added by current summing to give the correlationbetween signal and reference. Multiplication is achieved in a single transistor by time multiplexing the signal with a signal zero level. This methos gives high accuracy and low noise. A linearisation circuit at the input to the CCD delay line has been used to ensure good linearity and also to give a unity through gain to simplify cascading in applications where a longer filter is required.
