Description

The TMS320F2802 is designed as one kind of 2-W mono bridge-tied-load (BTL) class-D amplifier that is available in the 16-pin TSSOP and MicroStar Junior BGA packages. This device connected directly to the speaker without the use of the LC output filter commonly associated with class-D amplifiers, and operates over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.

Features of the TMS320F2802 are:(1)qualified for automotive applications; (2)customer-specific configuration control can be supported along with major-change approval; (3)ESD protection exceeds 2000 V per MIL-STD-883, method 3015; exceeds 200 V using machine model (C = 200 pF, R = 0); (4)modulation scheme optimized to operate without a filter; (5)integrated depop circuitry; (6)short-circuit protection (short to battery, ground, and load); (7)2 W into a 4- speaker (THD+N<1%).
