The TLN104 is designed as toshiba infrared LED. Typical applications include infrared LED for photo sensor and opto-electronic switch and tape, card readers and handy terminal and audio, video equipment.

TLN104 has five features. (1)Mocro-package (epoxy resin package) double end type. (2)Mountale at a 2.5mm pitch. (3)Large radiant power which would be 3mW typ. (4)Excellent linearity of radiant power and modulation by pulse operation and high frequency is possible. (5)Half value angle would be +/-20° typ. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of TLN104 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its forward current would be 40mA. (2)Its forward current derating would be -0.53mA/°C. (3)Its pulse forward current would be 400mA. (4)Its reverse voltage would be 5V. (5)Its operating temperature range would be from -25°C to 85°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -30°C to 100°C. (7)Its soldering temperature range 3s would be 260°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of TLN104 are concluded as follow. (1)Its forward voltage would be typ 1.13V and max 1.35V. (2)Its reverse current would be max 10uA. (3)Its radiant power would be min 1.5mW and typ 3mW. (4)Its peak emission wavelength would be typ 940nm. (5)Its spectral line half width would be typ 50nm.
