The TDA3560 is a monolithic integrated color decoder for the PAL standard. It combines all functions required for the identification and demodulation of PAL signals. Furthermore it contains a luminance amplifier, an RGB-matrix and amplifier. These amplifiers supply output signals up to 5V peak-to-peak enabling direct drive of the output stages. The circuit also contains separate inputs for data insertion, analogue as well as digital, which can be used for teletext information, channel number display.
The absolute maximum ratings of the TDA3560 are: (1)supply voltage: 13.2 V; (2)input saturation voltage: Vp; (3)input contrast voltage: Vp; (4)input blanking pulse and sandcastle: Vp; (5)input video-data switch voltage: Vp; (6)input brightness voltage: Vp; (7)power dissipation: see fig.2; (8)storage temperature: -25 to + 150; (9)operating ambient temperature: -25 to + 65 .
The following is about the electrical characteristics of TDA3560: (1)supply voltage range: 8V min, 12V typical and 13.2V max; (2)supply current: 85mA typical; (3)input voltage: 0.45V typical; (4)input current: 1A; (5)contrast control range: -17 to + 3dB; (6)input voltage: 55 to 1100mV; (7)A.C.C. control range: 30dB; (8)saturation control range: 50dB; (9)tracking between luminance and chorminance with contrast control over a range of 10dB, starting at maximum contrast; (10)output voltage: 5V typical; (11)maximum white level: 9.3V typical; (12)relative spread between R,G and B output signals: 10% max; (13)variation of black level with contrast control: 200mV max.
