STK311-050

The STK311-050 is designed as RDS/RBDS demodulator hybrid IC for the ratio data system (RDS), or multiplexed FM broad-casting of various kinds of data, specified by the european broadcasing union (EBU) and US national ratio system committee (NRSC), respectively. It demodulates the multiplexed data modulating signal to recover the RDS/RBDS signal and performs synchronization, error detection and error correction. Its typical applications include car stereos, home stereos.

STK311-050 has four features. (1) 57kHz BPF built-in for adjustment free operation. (2) 4MHz ceramic oscillator element built-in. (3) Few external components required for a complete RDS/RBDS data demodulation system. (4) ARI-SK/DK decoder built-in. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of STK311-050 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its maximum supply voltage would be 6.3V. (2) Its operating temperature range would be from -30°C to +85°C. (3) Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to +100°C. (4) Its resommended supply voltage would be 5V. (5) Its recommended operating supply voltage range would be from 4.7V to 5.5V.

Also some operating characteristics about STK311-050. (1) Its quiescent current would be typ 28mA and max 38mA. (2) Its band pass filter gain would be min 9dB and typ 12.5dB and max 17dB. (3) Its band pass filter selectivity would be min -6dB and typ -2.5dB and max 0dB at 60kHz and would be typ -39dB and max -33dB at 38kHz. (4) Its RDS/RBDS detector sensitivity would be typ 0.4mVrms and max 1.0mVrms. (5) Its SK detector sensitivity would be typ 1.0mVrms and max 2.0mVrms. (6) Its DK detector sensitivity would be typ 1.9mVrms and max 2.9mVrms. (7) Its high level output voltage would be min Vcc-1.2V. (8) Its low level output voltage would be max 1.5V. And so on.
