The QS3126 is designed as high speed CMOS quadruple bus switches with individual active high enables which provide a set of four high speed CMOS switches connecting inputs to outputs. Typical applications of QS3126 include active high enabling, hot-docking, hot-swapping, voltage translation, logic replacement, power conservation, capacitance reduction and isolation, bus isolation and clock gating.
QS3126 has many features. The first one is enhanced N channel FET with no inherent diode to Vcc. The second one is bidirectional switches connect inputs to outputs. The third one is pin compatible with the 74'126 function. The fourth one is it would be available in QSOP (Q), SOIC (S1). The fifth one is undershoot clamp diodes on all switch and control pins. The sixth one is zero proagation delay, zero ground bounce. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of QS3126 have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its supply voltage to ground which would be from -0.5V to +7.0V. The second one is about its DC switch voltage which would be from -0.5V to +7.0V. The third one is about its DC input voltage which would be from -0.5V to +7.0V. The fourth one is about its AC input voltage (for a pulse width <= 20ns) which would be -3.0V. The fifth one is about its DC output current max sink current/pin which would be 120mA. The sixth one is about its maximum power dissipation which would be 0.5W. The seventh one is about its storage temperature range which would be from -65°C to +150°C. It should be noted that these ratings are those conditions beyond which damage to the QS3126 may occur. Exposure to these conditions or conditions beyond those indicated may adversely affect device reliability. Functional operation of QS3126 under absolute maximum conditions is not implied. And so on.
