The PBL3781 is designed as one kind of bipolar integrated speech circuits for use in electronic telephones. The circuit is designed to operate at low supply voltages, down to 1.3V, making it usable when connected in parallel with other telephones.
PBL3781 has eight features. (1)Low voltage operation, down to 1.3V DC. (2)AC voltage swing down to 0.4V. (3)Transmit and receive gain regulation for automatic loop loss compensation. (4)Differential microphone input for dynamic microphone. (5)Current generator output powers electret buffer amplifier or pulse dialler. (6)Balanche receiver output stage. (7)16-pin "batwing" DIP handles 1.5W power dissipation. (8)20-pin small outline package handles 1.3W power dissipation. Those are all the main features.
