PBL3717 is a bipolar monolithic circuit intended to control and drive the current in one windling of a stepper motor. The circuit PBL3717 consists of a LS-TTL compatible logic input stage, a current sensor, a monostable multivibrator and a high power H-bridge output stage with built-in protection diodes. Two PBL 3717 and a small number of external components from a complete control and drive with unit for LS-TTL or microprocessor-controlled steoer motor systems.
PBL3717 has many unique features: The first one is half-step and full-step modes. The second one is switched mode dipolar constant current drive. The third one is wide range of current control 5 to 1000 mA.The forth one is wide range voltage which is 10 to 45 V. The fifth one is it is designed for instabilized motor supply voltage, etc.There are some maximum ratings about it.Voltage: Logic supply(pin 6)(Vcc) is 0 V min and 7 V max. Motor supply(3,14) is 0 V min and 45 V max. Logic inputs(7,8,9) is -0.3 V min and 8 V typ. Comparator input(10) is -0.3 V min and VDD V typ. Reference input(11) is -0.3 V minand 15 V typ.
