The PBL3762J is designed as one kind of subscriber line interface circuit (SLIC) which is a bipolar integrated circuit in 75V technology which replaces the conventional transformmer based analog line interface circuit in PABX and other telecommunications equipment with a modem, compact solid state design.

PBL3762J has twelve features. (1)Battery feed characteristics programmable via external resistors; feed characteristics independent of SLIC battery supply variations. (2)Battery supply voltage as low as 24V for power efficient line card designs. (3)Ring replay driver. (4)Loop current, ground key and ring trip detection functions. (5)Programmable loop current detector threshold. (6)Hybrid function with all types of CODEC/filter devices. (7)Programmable line terminating impedance, complex or real. (8)On-hook transmission. (9)Longitudinal balance specifications in excess of FCC and EIA requirements. (10)Low 21mW on-hook power dissipation. (11)Tip-ring open circuit state. (12)-40°C to +85°C ambient temperature range. Those are all the main features.

(2)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 110°C. (3)Its operating junction temperature range would be from -40°C to 140°C. (4)Its storage humidity would be min 5%RH and max 95%RH. (5)Its Vcc with respect to AGND would be min -0.5V and max 7V. (6)Its Vee with respect to AGND would be min -7V and max 0.5V. (7)Its Vbat with respect to BGND would be min -70V and max 0.5V.
