The PACDN027 is designed as one kind of 17 channel transient voltage suppressor arrays. PACDN027 provides a very high level or protection for sensitive integrated circuit terminals that may be subjected to electrostatic discharge (ESD). PACDN027 is designed and characterized to safely dissipate ESD strikes at levels well beyond the maximum requirements set forth in the IEC61000-4-2 specification (level 4, 8kV contact discharge). All pins of it are rated at 30kV using the IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge method.
PACDN027 has four features. (1)17 transient voltage suppressors in a single package. (2)In-system ESD protection to 30KV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2 international standard. (3)Compact 20-pin QSOP package saves board space and eases layout in space critical applications. (4)Its typical applications include ESD protection of PC parallel ports and protection of interface ports or IC pins which are exposed to high levels of ESD discharge. Those are all the main features.
Some important standard specifications of PACDN027 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its reverse standard-off voltage would be min 5.5V. (2)Its signal clamp voltage would be min 5.6V and typ 6.8V and max 8.0V for positive clamp 20mA and would be min -1.2V and typ -0.8V and max -0.4V for negative clamp 20mA.
