The PACDN002 is designed as a diode array designed to provide 17 channel of ESD protection for electronic components or sub-system. Each channel consists of a pair of diodes which steers the ESD current pulse either to the positive Vp or negative Vn supply. PACDN002 will protect against ESD pulses up to 15kV human body model. Typical applications include parallel printer port protection, ESD protection for sensitive electronic equipment, drop-in replacement for PDN002.
PACDN002 has five features. (1)17-channel ESD protection. (2)8KV contact discharge ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2. (3)15kV ESD protection (HBM). (4)Low loading capacitance, 5.5pF typ. (5)20-pin SOIC or QSOP package. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points of PACDN002 as follow. (1)Its diode forward DC current would be 20mA. (2)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (3)Its operating temperature range would be from -20°C to 85°C. (4)Its DC voltage at any channel input would be from Vn-0.5V to Vp+0.5V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some important standard specifications of PACDN002 are concluded as follow. (1)Its operating supply voltage would be max 12V. (2)Its supply current would be max 10uA. (3)Its diode forward voltage would be min 0.65V and max 1.0V. (4)Its ESD protection voltage at any channel input would be min +/-15kV for human body model, method 3015 and would be min +/-8kV for contact discharge per IEC 1000-4-2. (5)Its channel clamp voltage under ESD test conditions specified above T=25°C would be max Vp+13V for positive transients and would be max Vn-13V for negative transients. (6)Its channel leakage current would be typ +/-0.1uA and max +/-1.0uA. And so on. If you have any question or suggestion or want to know more information please contact us for details. Thank you!
