NE5080

The NE5080 is the transmitter chip of a two-chip set designed to opwerate as an FSK modem.The chips are compatible with teh IEEE 802.4 standard for a "Single-channel Phase-Continuous-FSK Token Bus."The specifications of NE5080 given in this data sheet are those guaranteed when the receiver is tuned to the frequencies given in the 802 standard.However,the receiver will work at other frequencies.

Features of the NE5080 are:(1)meets IEEE 802.4 standard; (2)data rates to several megabaud; (3)half or full -duplex operation; (4)jabber function on-chip.

The absolute maximum ratings of the NE5080 can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage:6V; (2)input voltage range:-0.3 to VCC V; (3)power dissipation:800mW; (4)maximum junction temperature:150. (5)operating temperature range:0 to 70; (6)storage temperature range:-65 to 150; (7)lead soldering temperature:300.
