The ML9209-xx is an alphanumeric type vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) tube controller driver IC which can display alphanumeric characters, symbols, and bar charts.

Vacuum fluorescent display tube of ML9209-xx drive signals are generated by serial data sent from a micro-controller. A display system is easily realized by internal ROM and RAM for character display.
