LM7800 series

The LM7800 series are 3-terminals fixed voltage regulators.They are monolithic integrated circuits designed as fixed-votage regulators for a wide variety of applications including local, on-card regulation.These regulators employ internal current limiting, thermal shutdown , and safe-area compensation.

Features of the LM7800 series are:(1)output current in excess of 1.5 A; (2)no external components required; (3)internal thermal overload protection; (4)internal short-circuit current limiting; (5)output transistor safe-area compensation; (6)output voltage offered in 2% tolerance.

The absolute maximum ratings of the LM7800 series can be summarized as:(1): input voltage(Vin) is 30 V; (2): input voltage(Vin) is 40 V; (3): power dissipation(PD) is 15 W; (4): operating ambient temperature(Topr) is -20 to +75; (5): operating junction temperature(Tj) is -20 to +125; (6): storage temperature(Tstg) is -55 to +125.
