The ISO722 is designed as digital isolator with a logic input and output buffer separated by a silicon oxide (SiO2) insulation barrier. This barrier provides galvanic isolation of up to 4000V. Used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, these devices prevent noise currents on a data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground, and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry.
ISO722 has seven features. (1)4000V peak isolation which means UL 1577, IEC 60747-5-2 (VDE 0884, rev. 2) IEC 61010-1 and CSA approved and 50 kV/s transient immunity typical. (2)Signaling rate 0 Mbps to 150 Mbps which means low-propagation delay and low-pulse skew (pulse-width distortion). (3)Low power sleep mode. (4)High electromagnetic immunity. (5)Low input curent requirement. (6)Failsafe output. (7)Drop-in replacement for most opto and magnetic isolators. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of ISO722 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be from -0.5V to 6V. (2)Its voltage at IN, OUT or EN terminal would be from -0.5V to 6V. (3)Its output current would be +/-15mA. (4)Its electrostatic discharge would be +/-2kV for human body model and would be +/-1kV for charged device model. (5)Its maximum junction temperature would be 170°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of ISO722 are concluded as follow. (1)Its Vcc1 supply current would be typ 0.5mA and max 1mA for quiescent and would be typ 2mA and max 4mA for 25Mbps. (2)Its Vcc2 supply current would be typ 8mA and max 12mA for quiescent and would be typ 10mA and max 14mA for 25Mbps. (3)Its high level output voltage would be min Vcc-0.8V and typ 4.6V. (4)Its low level output voltage would be typ 0.2V and max 0.4V. And so on. If you have any question or suggestion or want to know more information please contact us for details. Thank you!
