The HI5800BID is a monolithic, 12-bit, sampling analog-to-digital converter fabricated in the HBC10 BiCMOS process. It is a complete subsystem containing a sample and hold amplifier, voltage reference, two-step subranging A/D, error correction, control logic, and timing generator. Typical applications of HI5766 include high speed data acquisition systems, medical imaging, radar signal analysis, document and film scanners, vibration/ waveform spectrum analysis and digital servo control.
HI5766 has eight features. (1)Throughput rate is 3MSPS. (2)12-bit, no missing codes over temperature. (3)Integral linearity error would be 1.0 LSB. (4)Buffered sample and hold amplifier. (5)Precision voltage reference. (6)Input signal range would be ±2.5V. (7)20MHz input BW allows sampling beyond nyquist. (8)Zero latency/ no pipeline delay. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of HI5766 have been concuded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltages AVCC or DVCC to GND would be +5.5V and AVEE or DVEE to GND would be -5.5V and DGND to AGND would be ±0.3V. (2)Its analog input pins reference input REFIN would be +2.75V and signal input Vin would be ±(REFIN+0.2V). (3)Its ROADJ, RGADJ, ADJ+, ADJ- would be from Vee to Vcc. (4)Its digital I/O pins would be from GND to VCC. (5)Its maximum junction temperature would be 175°C. (6)Its maximum storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (7)Its maximum lead temperature (soldering, 10s) would be 300°C.
