The HCC/HCF4089B is a low-power 4-bit digitalratemultiplierthatprovides anoutput pulse ratethatistheclock-input-pulseratemultipliedby1/16timesthebinaryinput.Forexample,whenthebinaryinputnumberis13,therewillbe13outputpulsesforevery
16 input pulses.
The HCC/HCF4089B hasan internal synchronous4-bitcounter which,together withoneofthefourbi-nary input bits, produces pulse trains as shown intimingdiagram.
If more than one binary input bit is high, the resulting pulse train is a combination of the above separatepulse trains. This HCC/HCF4089B may be used to performarithmeticoperations (add, subtract, divide, raisetoapower), solvealgebraic anddifferential equations,generate naturallogarithms and trigonometric func-tions,A/D and D/A conversions, andfrequency di-vision.
