GSQ05A04 has five features. (1)Similar to TO-220AC case. (2)Low forward voltage drop. (3)Low power loss and high efficiency. (4)High surge capability. (5)Tj=150°C operation. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of GSQ05A04 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its repetitive peak reverse voltage would be 40V. (2)Its average rectified output current would be 5A at Tc=122°C 50Hz half sine wave resistive load. (3)Its RMS forward current would be 7.85A. (4)Its surge forward current would be 120A at 50Hz half sine wave, 1cycle non-repetitive. (5)Its operating junction temperature range would be from -40°C to +150°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to +150°C. (7)Its mounting torque would be recommended 0.5Nm. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
