Description

The FDMF8704 is a fully optimized integrated Driver plusMOSFET power stage solution for high current synchronousbuck DC-DC applications. The device FDMF8704 integrates a driver IC andtwo Power MOSFETs into a space saving, MLP 8x8, 56-pinpackage. Fairchild Semiconductor?s integrated approachoptimizes the complete switching power stage with regards todriver to FET dynamic performance, system inductance andoverall solution ON resistance. Package parasitics andproblematical layouts associated with conventional discretesolutions are greatly reduced. This integrated approach resultsin significant board space saving, therefore maximizing footprintpower density. This solution is based on the Intel? DrMOSspecification.
