Description

The DS1486-120 is designed as a nonvolatile static RAM with a full function real time clock (RTC), alarm, watchdog timer, and interval timer which are all accessible in a bytewide format.

DS1486-120 has eight features. (1)128 kbytes of user NV RAM. (2)Integrated NV SRAM, real time clock, crystal, power-fail control circuit and lithium energy source. (3)Totally nonvolatile with over 10 years of operation in the absence of power. (4)Watchdog timer restarts an out-of-control processor. (5)Alarm function schedules real-time related activities such as system wakeup. (6)Programmable interrupts and square wave output. (7)All registers are individually addressable via the address and data bus. (8)Interrupt signals active in power-down mode. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of DS1486-120 have been concluded as follow. (1)Its voltage on any pin relative ground would be from -0.3V to +7.0V. (2)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to +70°C. (3)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to +70°C. (4)Its soldering temperature would be 260°C for 10 seconds. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
