The AT28C16-15TC is designed as the ideal nonvolatile attribute memory: it is a low power, 5-volt-only byte writeable nonvolatile memory (E2PROM). Standby current is typically less than 100uA. It is written like a Static RAM, eliminating complex programming algorithms. The fast write cycle times of 1ms, allow quick card reconfiguration in-system. Data retention is specified as 10 years minimum, precluding the necessity for batteries. Three access times have been specified to allow for varying layers of buffering between the memory and the PCMCIA interface.
AT28C16-15TC has six features. (1)Ideal rewriteable attribute memory. (2)Simple write operation. (3)End of write detection. (4)High reliability. (5)Single 5 volts supply for read and write. (6)Very low power which means 30uA active current and 100uA standby current. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of AT28C16-15TC have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its temperature under bias would be from -55°C to 125°C. (2)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 125°C. (3)Its all input voltages (including NC pins) with respect to ground would be from -0.6V to 6.25V. (4)Its all output voltages with respect to ground would be from -0.6V to Vcc+0.6V. (5)Its voltage on OE and A9 with respect to ground would be from -0.6V to 13.5V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of AT28C16-15TC are concluded as follow. (1)Its input load current would be max 10uA. (2)Its output leakage current would be max 10uA. (3)Its Vcc standby current CMOS would be max 100uA. (4)Its Vcc standby current TTL would be max 2mA for company and max 3mA for industry. (5)Its Vcc active current would be max 30mA for company and would be max 45mA for industry. (6)Its input low voltage would be max 0.8V. (7)Its input high voltage would be min 2.0V.
