0.3mm Front Flip Lock FPC Connector Released

TE Connectivity announced the company’s 0.3 mm front flip lock, Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) connectors, to optimize connectivity in miniaturizing electronic products. This new product offering is low-halogen and includes connectors up to 71 positions.

With extended position size range and the availability of a front flip lock actuator, product designers now can break through traditional technological restrictions with more flexibility.

Customers can select between front flip lock or back flip lock actuators, satisfying various design specifications for consumer electronics, set top boxes, mobile devices, etc. The front flip lock offering is low-halogen, which is more environmentally friendly and meets current requirements of many consumer products.

FPC is an interconnect solution that is ideal where small centerline spacing makes larger wire-to-board interconnects impractical. As the market trends towards miniaturization, FPC connectors have been developed to meet the challenges of this expanding market, which demands smaller centerline or pitch spacing, lower profile heights and lighter interconnect solutions. The TE Connectivity (TE) FPC solutions are reliable interconnects that utilize an actuator to secure the cable termination and are field terminatable (requires no tooling).
