The PSB-2186NV1.1 is a kind of ISDN subscriber access controller for terminals. It implements the four-wire S/T interface used to link voice/data terminals to an ISDN. The device switches B- and D-channels between the S/T and the ISDN Oriented Modular (IOM) interfaces. Furthermore, the device provides all electrical and logical functions of the S/T interface, such as activation/deactivation, mode dependent timing recovery and D-channel access and priority control. It is available in P-LCC-44 (SMD) package.
There are some features as follows: (1) pin and software compatible to PEB 2086; (2) compatible to PEB 2085 (Symmetrical Receiver); (3) full duplex 2B+D S/T interface transceiver according to CCITT I.430; (4) conversion of the frame structure between the P-MQFP-64 S/T interface and IOM-2; (5) receive timing recovery; (6) D-channel access control; (7) activation and deactivation procedures with automatic wake-up from power-down state; (8) access to S and Q bits of S/T interface; (9) adaptively switched receive thresholds; (10) support of LAPD protocol FIFO buffer (2 x 64 bytes) for efficient transfer of D-channel packets; (11) serial interface: IOM-2 interface including bit clock and strobe signal; (12) implementation of IOM-2 MONITOR and C/I-channel protocol to control peripheral devices; (13) microprocessor access to B- and intercommunication-channels; watchdog timer.
What comes next is about the absolute maximum ratings. (1): voltage on any pin with respect to ground (VS) is from -0.4 to VDD + 0.4 V; (2): ambient temperature under bias (TA) is from 0 to 70; (3): storage temperature (Tstg) is from -65 to 125; (4): maximum voltage on VDD (VDD) is 6 V.
