The NH82801HB is designed as one member of the intel I/O controller hub 8 (ICH8) family. It is ICH8 (ICH8).
It has many features and some are listed here. (1) Direct media interface which means 10Gb/s each direction, full duplex and transparent to software. (2) PCI express which means 6 PCI express root ports, supports PCI express 1.1, ports 1-4 can be statically configured as 4x1 or 1x4, support for full 2.5 Gb/s bandwidth in each direction per x1 lane and module based hot-plug supported. (3) PCI bus Interface which means supports PCI rev 2.3 specification at 33 MHz, four available PCI REQ/GNT pairs, support for 64-bit addressing on PCI using DAC protocol. (4) Integrated serial ATA host controller. (5) Intel matrix storage technology. (6) Intel high definition audio interface. (7) USB 2.0. (8) Integrated gigabit LAN controller. (9) System TCO reduction circuits. (10) Interrupt controller. (12) power management logic. (13) External glue integration. (14) Enhanced DMA controller. And so on.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its voltage on any 3.3V pin with respect to ground would be from -0.5 to Vcc3_3+0.5V. (2) Its voltage on any 5V tolerant pin with respect to ground (V5REF = 5V) would be from -0.5V to V5REF+0.5V. (3) Its 1.05V supply voltage with respect to Vss would be from -0.5V to 2.1V. (4) Its 1.25V supply voltage with respect to Vss would be from -0.5V to 2.1V. (5) Its 1.5V supply voltage with respect to Vss would be from -0.5 to 2.1V. (6) Its 3.3V supply voltage with respect to Vss would be from -0.5V to 4.6V. (7) Its 5.0V supply voltage with respect to Vss would be from -0.5V to 5.5V.
