The MSP3425G-QG-B8-V3 is designed as one member of the MSP 34x5G family of single-chip multistandard sound processors. This family covers the sound processing of all analog TV standards worldwide, as well as the NICAM digital sound standards. The full TV sound processing, starting with analog sound IF signal-in, down to processed analog AF-out, is performed in a single chip.
It has many features and some are listed here. (1) Standard selection with single I2c transmission. (2) Automatic standard detection of terrestrial TV standards. (3) Automatic sound selection (mono/stereo/bilingual), new registers MODUS, STATUS. (4) Automatic carrier mute function. (5) Interrupt output programmable (indicating status change). (6) Loudspeaker channel with volume, balance, bass, treble, loudness. (7) AVC: automatic volume correction. (8) Spatial effect for loudspeaker channel. (9) Two stereo SCART (line) inputs, one mono input; one stereo SCART outputs. (10) Complete SCART in/out switching matrix. And so on.
