This MC33991DWR2 is a type of single packaged, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) controlled, dual stepper motor gau ge driver Integrated Circuit (IC). This monolithic IC includes four dual output H-Bridge coil drivers and the associated control logic. Each pair of H-Bridge drivers is utilized to automatically control the speed, direction and magnitude of current through the two coils of a two-phase instrumentation stepper motor, same with an MMT licensed AFIC 6405.
Features of MC33991DWR2 are:(1)MMT-licensed two-phase stepper motor compatible; (2)minimal processor overhe ad required; (3)fully integrated pointer movement and position state machine with air core movement emulation; (4)4096 possible steady state pointer positions; (5)340°maximum pointer sweep; (6)linear 4500°; (7)maximum poin ter velocity of 400°; (8)analog microstepping (12 steps/degree of pointer movement); (9)pointer calibration and return to zero, etc.
The absolute maximum ratings of the MC33991DWR2 can be summarized as: (1)power supply voltage(steady stat e):-0.3V to 41V; (2)input pin voltage:-0.3V to 7.0V; (3)sin+/- cos +/- continuous per output current: 40mA; (4)stora ge temperature:-55°C to 150°C; (5)operating junction temperature:-40°C to 150°C; (6)thermal resistance(amb ient): 60°C/W;thermal resistance(junction to lead): 20°C/W; (7)ESD voltage(human body mode): ±2000V;ESD voltage(machine model): ±200V.
