The MAX1044CSA is one member of the MAX1044 family which designed as the switched-capacitor voltage converters that can be used in (1)-5V supply from +5V logic supply; (2)personal communications equipment; (3)portable telephones; (4)op-amp power supplies; (5)EIA/TIA-232E and EIA/TIA-562 power supplies; (6)data-acquisition systems; (7)hand-held instruments; (8)panel meters. It has a BOOST pin that raises the oscillator frequency above the audio band and reduces external capacitor size requirements and delivers up to 100mA with a voltage drop of less than 0.65V.
Features of the MAX1044CSA are:(1)miniature max package; (2)1.5V to 10.0V operating supply voltage range; (3)98% typical power-conversion efficiency; (4)invert, double, divide, or multiply input voltages; (5)boost pin increases switching frequencies (MAX1044); (6)no-load supply current: 200A Max at 5V; (7)no external diode required for higher-voltage operation.
